Shore Shots Festival
Shore Shots, the Irish Surf Festival returns to Sligo on the 22-23 April at the Model, Sligo. The event brings movies, music, art, surfing, talks, ideas, parties and adventures to the Wild Atlantic Way. We welcome all visitors for the festival to our pub throughout the weekend with great live music on Saturday night from the Wranglers with special guests Lucie Crichlow (Old Hannah). Hawk's Well Theatre
Our local theatre continues to go from strength to strength with a great line up of events throughout April including Jack L, Tom Crean - Antarctic Explorer and the Sligo Academy of Music Gala. We're hearing great reports back on last night's event 'Remembering 2016 - Sligo sing Prince, Bowie, Cohen'. Those of you attending tonight's sold out show are in for a great night of live music. Tour of Sligo
The annual Sport Ireland Yeats Tour of Sligo takes place on the last weekend of April. With 3 different routes and distances to choose from, there's something for everyone. Full details and registration can be found on their website here.
As well as playing host to this year's Shore Shots film festival, the Model plays host to some great exhibitions, cinema and varied events through April. Check out their website for full up to-date details.
Get Up and Go Festival
The annual Get Up and Go Event returns to Sligo on Friday the 21st. of April & Saturday 22nd April at the IT Sligo Knocknarea Arena. This year, a wide range of speakers, from Ireland and overseas, will share their experiences of living life with 'Passion and Purpose'. For further details see here.
Sligo Tasting Trail
As part of a new initiative highlighting the great hospitality in our region through the Sligo Tasting tour, we recently hosted international travel agent delicates as part of Meitheal 2017. It was great opportunity to share the history of our pub and county and showcase what we have to offer.
Cos Cos Sean Nós Festival.
Starting into May, the annual Cos Cos Sean-Nós Festival, now in its 11th year, brings together some of the country’s finest Sean-Nós dancers, musicians, singers, poets and storytellers. Hosted in Rathcormac, Drumcliffe, Co Sligo, it's sure to be another successful local festival. For full event details visit their website here.
Table Quiz Fundraiser
This month we play host to a pub quiz in aid of the Sligo Leitrim Mountain rescue team on Thursday the 27th. of April. Table of 4 cost €20 with plenty of great prizes up for grabs. Come join us on the night and support a local cause.

We were delighted to take home a Pub of the Year award for Connaught at the recent Restaurant Association of Ireland awards held in the Radisson Blu Sligo.
