So we're officially into December and it's beginning to feel a lot like Christmas around these parts. The darker evenings are now illuminated by the many Christmas lights and Christmas trees that are on show in the streets of Sligo. This month we look at some of the things happening in the run into Xmas.
Sligo on Ice
Sligo on Ice is an indoor ice rink that opens tomorrow in Ballast Quay Sligo and runs from the 4th. of December through until the 29th. of January. For further information and bookings, visit their website here.
Donal Dineen - The Model
Those of you about Sligo town tonight are in for a real treat at the Model, Sligo. Donal Dineen presents Backstory. This is set to be a night of dancing, tunes and original visuals. The model continues to bring informal music sessions, exhibitions, educational classes and great nights of live music through December and well into 2017. The Hawk's Well Theatre
December continues to be a busy month of events at our local theatre in Sligo. This month sees live music from the Fureys, Anything Goes, The Macalla Suite and The Ronan Collins Showband Show amongst other great events in the Hawkswell. For full details and booking information, see here.
In our historic pub we're making plans for Christmas too. We've got a full line-up of live music through December and into Christmas week and the New Year. On Sunday the 11th. of December join us for something a little different. We have a live performance of Sherlock Holmes - 'A Scandal in Bohemia', a radio drama. Brought to you by the Dark Leaves Theatre Company. The cast includes Niall Colleary, Patrick Karl Curley, Sandra O'Malley, Killian Glynn and Barry Cullen
As well as our regular continued live music schedule on Friday the 16th. of December, we have our annual Xmas carol event with Dr. Phil Murray and friends.
From Sunday the 18th. of December, we have a full line-up of live music through Christmas with the Wranglers joining us on Christmas Eve. for another Xmas special from 5pm. We will close early Xmas eve. at 8pm.
We continue our live music schedule from Tuesday 27th right through until the New Year.

We continue to introduce New craft beers, whiskey and gins to our growing range. Recently we had the White Hag Brewery from Co. Sligo come on draft with their Red Doe red IPA. We've also recently introduced the Writers Tears Copper Pot from Walsh's Whiskey to our premium range, with others on order.
