Autumn is well and truly in full swing now with some great natural colours on show in our North west corner. October proved to be an active month with a great finisher to close out the month, with the Sligo Live festival.

Sligo was well and truly alive with so many great musicians and tourists visiting Sligo town for the festival. Congrats to all involved in putting together another top festival of music here in Sligo.

Sligo Choral Festival

This year marks the 28th Sligo International Choral Festival. The Festival is looking forward to welcoming the High Hopes Choir to Sligo to open this years Festival at the Gala Concert in the Knocknarea Arena on Friday 11th November at 8pm. The festival is set to run from the 11th of November through to 13th of November. For further information please visit here.

Sligo Film Society

Into Cinema? The Model cinema, in partnership with Sligo Film Society, brings audiences the best in international and independent films with regular screenings weekly through until December. For a full schedule of some great films sponsored by local business visit here.

Hawkswell Theatre

The Hawkswell Theatre continues to attract a great mix of national and international arts events through November. This month sees a night of music with Steve Wickham & Friends on Friday the 25th of November. Prior to that on the Saturday the 19th there's a performance entitled Chanter and Strings that brings Leonard Barry, Niamh Crowley and the Sligo Academy of Music Orchestra with guests; Seamie O’Dowd, Shane McGowan and John Joe Kelly to the stage. Our Photo Competition

This month we announce the winners of our photo competition that was running throughout the summer and September in our historic pub. Thanks to all those who captured some great moments. The winning photos are as follows:

In other news around our pub, we continue to welcome new premium gin, whiskey and craft beer to a growing menu. Just last week we introduced a bottle range from the local Co. Sligo Brewery, the White Hag with more to follow. Following on from another two craft beer tastings last month, we are currently working on our next.
