Good things for September

From album launches, great free cultural events, a revised live music schedule and craft beer tasting meet-ups, September is looking promising.

Dean Gurrie - Album launch night

From a great live gig as part of the Sligo Festival, Dean Gurrie is set to launch his debut album "The Calling", at the Hawkswell Theatre here in Sligo on the 8th. of September. The album was recorded at Edenvella Studios and mixed and mastered by the renowned UK Producer/Engineer Ian Caple, who has worked with such artists as Kate Bush, Ryan Adams & Tricky. Well deserved & best wishes to Dean with the new record.

Culture Night

From the cities to county towns, everyone’s in on Culture night 2016. On Friday the 16th. Of September arts and cultural organisations open their doors until late with hundreds of free events, tours, talks & performances. Sligo has a full programme planned with events happening across our town and county. Check out the full lineup of scheduled events here

As part of the event we have a clay sculpture workshop for both children and adults with Bettina Seitz from 4:30 pm.

New Music Schedule

We've revised our live music schedule heading into winter. We're keeping Saturdays free for regular guest and local artist to play. You can download a copy of our schedule here.

Tasting events

Following on from a successful craft beer tasting with Phil Cullen aka Mountain Man brewing last month, we making plans for a more regular meet-up in our pub. Our plan to cover all things craft beer, premium whiskey and premium gin with guest tastings and speaker from the industry joining us regularly. Watch this space for our first of many events to be announced in the coming weeks.

Photo Competition extension

We've extended our photo competition until the end of the month. Be in with a chance of some great prizes by taking photos of our historic pub and sharing on social media with our hashtag #thomasconnollysligo. For full details check our our page here.

We continue to bring in new craft beers with new premium whiskey and premium gins arriving regularly also. We're big on choice and recently have also extended our alcohol free range of beers & juices by the bottle. Check out our menus or just ask one of our staff for further details.
